Washington and Lee University presents a poetry reading by Allison Seay, author of the poetry collection “To See The Queen,”  on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in the Mason Taylor New Room on the ground floor of Payne Hall on the W&L campus. The reading is free and open to the public, with books for sale following the event.

Seay’s work has been featured in multiple journals including Crazyhorse, the Southern Review, Meridian, Arts and Academe, and Pleiades. Seay worked for several years as assistant director of the MFA Program and associate editor of the Greensboro Review at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She taught at both UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro College and Lynchburg College before moving back to Richmond, Virginia.
