The Taxman Cometh

Maybe it’s not too late for some tax tips from Michelle Drumbl, director of the School of Law’s Tax Clinic. You can listen to Michelle’s advice on ways to save on your taxes on our Soundbites page. But if you’ve already filed (and here’s hoping you have), you might be interested in the debate on the death tax in which a Washington and Lee alumnus is playing a central role. Jeff Cook of the Class of 2001 is executive director of the Washington-based Policy and Taxation Group, which is devoted to the elimination of the estate and gift tax. In the clip linked below, you can watch Jeff argue his case against Michael Ettlinger, Center for American Progress Action, on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” Tuesday.
