Christopher Seaman, assistant professor of law at Washington and Lee University, provides background and context to today’s (June 25, 2013) landmark Supreme Court decision on the Voting Rights Act. Seaman is the author of two journal articles on the Voting Rights Act, including “An Uncertain Future for Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act: The Need for a Revised Bailout System,” which was published in the Saint Louis University Public Law Review in 2010.
