Billias and Parker to Present ‘Russian Romanticism’ Recital at W&L The concert is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.

Pianist Anna Billias and baritone Gregory Parker will present a recital entitled “Russian Romanticism” on Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall on the Washington and Lee University campus.
The concert is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. The doors to the concert hall will open 30 minutes before the show.
Billias is an assistant professor and the director of piano studies and collaborative performance at Sweet Briar College. She trained as a concert pianist at the Prokofiev State Academy of Music in Donetsk, Ukraine (originally the Prokofiev Conservatory of Music) and graduated with advanced degrees in both performance and instruction for piano.
Parker is a professor of music and chair of the Department of Music at W&L. As a baritone soloist, he has presented numerous recitals; appeared with opera companies in Alabama, Texas and Missouri; and sung in multiple oratorio performances.
