Jennifer Magielnicki, Interior Designer – University Facilities

Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a Lexington native and I recently relocated from Charlottesville with my husband and two sons.

Q. Any favorite Lexington or regional activities?
Our family enjoys the many hiking trails and the Maury River with our Labrador Retrievers. The Lime Kiln has become a favorite outdoor venue for music.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
In my spare time, I enjoy drawing and painting and listening to live music.

Kristi Phillips, Work Control Specialist – University Facilities

Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I worked in the healthcare field for 15 years and then did a 180 and have worked on the road doing civil construction for the past four years.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
I love spending time with family and friends. I love Christmas, minus the shopping, and I love being outdoors even though I’m terrified of spiders.

Q. Best advice you’ve ever been given?
Nothing changes if nothing ever changes.

Jessica Wright, Custodian

Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m someone who likes to keep things grounded and simple. I’ve raised two sons who are now grown, and I have a grandson who I absolutely adore. Outside of family, I enjoy learning new things and exploring.

Q. Any favorite Lexington or regional activities?
Jordan’s Point is one of my favorites, especially with the river access — it’s such an easy place to relax. And when it comes to food, Don Tequila and Macado’s are my go-tos.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
I’m pretty outdoorsy, so kayaking and fishing are two of my favorite ways to unwind. Otherwise, I just enjoy spending time with friends and family. Good company is usually all I need.
