Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a military brat raised by Virginian parents. I come from a big family with eight siblings (I am number three, if you’re curious). I was in the U.S. Army Reserve for six years, but don’t ask for war stories, I have none to tell.

Q. Any favorite Lexington/regional spots/activities (or something you are excited about)?
I’m hoping to get back into camping again. I lived in a city before moving here, and the mountains here are much more of a home for me.

Q. Anything in particular that you are looking forward to here at W&L?
I think my new job fits my temperament like a glove. I’m not here to “lay down the law” or act like a drill sergeant. I hope to do right by the community here, and I hope you’ll do the same for me.

My husband and I are in the process of adopting a brother and sister from his extended family – they are five and six years old. I am a huge animal lover and own a basset hound named Rosie.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
The beach is my favorite place to be. My stress reliever is my dog – she always makes me smile.

Q. Best advice anyone has ever given you?
“Nothing stays the same so don’t dwell on things you can’t change.”
