Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m originally from Augusta County and started my culinary career at the Bistro on Main here in Lexington. I attended New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont, concentrating in baking and pastry arts. After school, I came back to the area, spending many years at Albemarle Baking Co., before meeting my spouse and getting dragged off to Rappahannock County. We recently relocated back to Augusta County with our 10 dogs, three goats, a sheep and some chickens.
Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
I routinely make poor life decisions and register for trail ultra marathons in the area. I’m slow and stubborn but have finished Promise Land 50k++ and the Jarmans Invitational Marathon several times. Other than that, I like to bake pies.
Q. Any favorite Lexington/regional spots/activities (or something you are excited about)?
Hull’s Drive-in — my spouse has never been, and I’m looking forward to taking her some evening!

Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a W&L grad that returned to Lexington 10 years ago after living in Northern California where I worked in the technology business (aka Silicon Valley). My two nephews grew up near Lexington and one is a recent W&L graduate (geology major). The other just graduated with a culinary degree that contributes nicely to my interest in farm to table food!
Q. How do you unwind or have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
In my free time, I like to garden on my five acre “farmette” in Rockbridge County. I have goats, chickens, dogs and cats that keep me busy. I am also studying Latin dancing in Staunton and attend as many dance socials as I can squeeze into my schedule.
Q. Anything in particular you are looking forward to at W&L?
I look forward to being back on campus and joining the current W&L community. I’m excited to be a part of conversations that broaden how we approach business, entrepreneurship and bringing ideas to life.
