Hobby/Interest?

I am an avid reader—I love historical fiction! I also love to paddle board and hike whenever I have the opportunity.

What you are looking forward to in 1L year?

Contracts! A weird answer I know, but honestly, I love a good contract and am really looking forward to understanding the legality of what makes a contract binding especially in unofficial settings.

Why W&L Law?

My fiancée and I are planning to permanently relocate to the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is what initially drew me to the area. As I went through the admissions process, W&L went up and down on my list, but the admitted students’ weekend really sealed the deal for me. Everyone I interacted with —students, professors, alumni, and staff —was so welcoming, and many people said that coming to W&L was the best choice they had ever made. I heard great things about other schools, but I wasn’t hearing that anywhere else. I felt so at home in the school and was one of the first to arrive and the last to leave because I enjoyed it so much. It definitely feels like a place where I will be challenged and learn a lot, while also thriving and having access to many exciting opportunities.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

I honestly have three pretty big ones! I hiked four days on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu as a solo traveler. I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with my family, and I walked the Camino de Santiago with my best friend. Those were all amazing and challenging adventures.

Something you hope to continue to pursue in law school that brings you joy?

I love to walk outside and do yoga regularly. I am planning to continue doing both once I move to Lexington!

Something unique about you?

I have lived in five different countries and attended graduate school in the United Kingdom.
