“The W&L Spring Term is one of our signature experiences,” said Provost Marc Conner. “The intensive courses our faculty offer have no parallel at any other school. It’s become a defining part of the W&L education.”

Seville and the Foundations of Spanish Civilization: Our Spring Term Spanish course, visiting the amphitheater of Itálica, the first Roman city outside Italy, founded two hundred years before the birth of Christ, first as warrior encampment and later evolving into a Roman city. The amphitheater was a hit for our students as well because it is the scene for the filming of the dragon pit in “Game of Thrones.”
