W&L Faculty Recital Presents “Strange Bedfellows: Unexpected Musical Duos” The ensemble will perform Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall.
Washington and Lee University presents a faculty recital, titled “Strange Bedfellows: Unexpected Musical Duos,” on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Performing Arts.
The performance is free and open to the public and no tickets are required.
The ensemble is comprised of trombonist Christopher Dobbins, associate professor of music; bassoonist Heather Dobbins, visiting assistant professor of music; baritone Gregory Parker, chair of the Department of Music; and pianist Akiko Konishi, assistant professor of music. The performance is sure to be an exhilarating evening of unique chamber music written for piano, voice, trombone and bassoon. The program includes works by Maurice Ravel, Jacques Castérède, Stjepan Šulek, Kazimierz Serocki, and more.
