W&L Presents 2022 Holiday Pops Concert Tickets to the Dec. 5-6 event may be obtained by trading a non-perishable food item to benefit Campus Kitchen at W&L.
Washington and Lee University presents its annual Holiday Pops Concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6. The concerts, which feature the same material, will be performed in Wilson Concert Hall.
Tickets are required and can be reserved online at wlulenfestcenter.universitytickets.com/w/?cid=167. The performance will also be streamed online at livestream.com/wlu.
Monetary donations may be made online, and food donations can be made in person at the Lenfest Box Office during open hours (9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., Monday-Friday). Advance tickets are available now, but can also be bought day-of before each show. The box office will be closed during W&L’s Thanksgiving break, November 23-27. For more information, call 540-458-8000.
The performance features ensemble groups from the Department of Music performing pieces that celebrate the holiday season. The program will include individual performances, group numbers, massed ensemble pieces and a variety of student conductors.
This year, W&L encourages the spirit of giving by requiring patrons to exchange one nonperishable food item for each Holiday Pops ticket. All goods collected will be donated to Campus Kitchen, an organization that recovers and reuses food to provide balanced meals for low-income members of the Rockbridge County community.
