W&L Presents Faculty Recital with Anthony Cincotta and Anna Billias The saxophone and piano performance will take place on Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. in The Lenfest Center’s Wilson Concert Hall.

The Department of Music at Washington and Lee University will present a faculty recital by saxophonist Anthony Cincotta and pianist Anna Billias on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts.
The performance is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required. The performance will also be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.
The program is titled “Kaleidoscopic Colours” and will feature rich and diverse sounds, showcasing the unique interplay between piano and saxophone. The old English spelling of “colours” symbolizes the collaboration of the two instruments and highlights how they both contribute equally to the kaleidoscopic sound.
Anthony Cincotta, visiting assistant professor of music and administrator of music operations at W&L, is an internationally recognized music educator and saxophonist. Cincotta earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Arts in music and Doctor of Musical Arts from James Madison University, where he also served as a teaching assistant.
Anna Billias, lecturer in music at W&L, is a trained concert pianist who has performed across the United States and abroad. Billias was trained at the Prokofiev State Academy of Music in Donetsk, Ukraine, and received her Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from Shenandoah Conservatory.
