W&L Presents MLK Remembrance Concert The Jan. 21 performance will include selected readings and musical reflections.
Washington and Lee University presents the MLK Remembrance Concert on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Performing Arts.
The performance is free and open to the public. The event will also be streamed online at go.wlu.edu/livestream.
The concert honors the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, the performance will feature readings of speeches and poems by King, Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes and others, interspersed with musical reflections performed by W&L’s University Singers, Glee Club and Cantatrici.
