W&L Presents Senior Recital with An Shelmire Shelmire’s piano recital will take place on April 5 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall.

An Shelmire ’25 will perform her senior piano recital on April 5 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts. Shelmire is a biology and music double major from Dallas, Texas.

The performance is free and open to the public and will be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.

Shelmire will perform humorous and colorful pieces from the Classical, Romantic, and contemporary musical periods. The performance will feature solo works by Joseph Haydn, Franz Liszt, Luigi Perrachio and George Gershwin. Shelmire has studied piano under Akiko Konishi, assistant professor of music at W&L.
