W&L Presents Senior Recital with Ava GianGrasso GianGrasso’s violin recital will take place on March 29 at 1 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall.

Ava GianGrasso ’26 will perform her senior violin recital on March 29 at 1 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts. GianGrasso is a music and neuroscience double major from Clarence, New York.

The recital is free and open to the public. It will also be streamed online at: https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.

The performance will feature Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Sonata No. 5 for Violin and Piano” performed alongside Anna Billias, lecturer in music and collaborative pianist at W&L, and the “Presto” from Johann Bach’s “Sonata No. 1 in G minor for Solo Violin.” Next, GianGrasso will perform the first movement of Mendelssohn’s “String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Adagio-Allegro vivace,” with violinist Daniel Volodarsky ’27, violist William Bray ’26 and cellist Ben Fliegelman ’28. The recital will conclude with Fritz Kreisler’s “Liebesleid” performed with fellow senior Camille Ramos ’26 on the piano and the first movement of Max Bruch’s “Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor.” GianGrasso has studied music under Chris Dobbins, associate professor of music at W&L.
