Heidi Thiessen ’25 will perform her senior voice recital on March 28 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts. Thiessen, a soprano, is a music major from Sanibel, Florida.

The performance is free and open to the public and will be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.

Thiessen will perform works by J.S. Bach, Léo Delibes, César Franck and Carl Maria von Weber as well as rarely performed songs by Gaetano Donizetti and Juliana Hall’s “Night Dances.” She is a winner of the 2023-24 W&L Concerto-Aria Contest and portrayed Dido in the 2024 Bentley production of Henry Purcell’s opera “Dido and Aeneas.” Thiessen has studied music under the direction of Gregory Parker, professor of music, applied voice and world music at W&L.
