W&L Presents the University Orchestra in Concert Join the University Orchestra on Nov. 18 for a performance titled “What’s Old is New Again.”
The W&L University Orchestra Concert will present a public concert featuring music from the past reimagined in a performance titled “What’s Old is New Again” on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. in the Wilson Concert Hall.
The concert, which is free and open to the public, does not require tickets, but attendees are required to wear masks. The performance will be streamed live online at https://livestream.com/wlu.
Program works include living composer Adolphus Hailstork’s “Sonata di Chiesa” and Schubert’s iconic “Symphony No. 1.”
Also featured will be a new one-movement piano concerto by Marcus Maroney that will feature W&L piano instructor Akiko Konishi as a soloist.
