W&L Presents the University Orchestra Winter Term 2022 Concert The show is free and open to the public.
The University Orchestra is pleased to present an evening of music that evokes fantasy on March 24 at 8 p.m. in the Wilson Concert Hall on the W&L campus. The show is free and open to the public, and no tickets are required to attend.
The performance will also be streamed online at https://livestream.com/wlu.
Program works include composer Jennifer Jolley’s “The Ferry Crossing,” which presents the excitement of having to take a ferry to the place that you live and all of the myth that goes along with that unique experience.
Also featured are composer Stella Sung’s “Loco-Motion” and “Symphony No 7” by composer Jean Sibelius.
The University Orchestra will be joined by the Southern Virginia University Camerata for a joint performance of Sibelius’ “Symphony No. 7.”
Masking is optional and no longer expected in indoor performance spaces on campus.
