Washington and Lee University’s Department of Music presents the University Singers in concert for their “Tour Home” concert under the direction of Shane Lynch, professor of music and director of choral activities. The performance will take place on March 3 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts.
The concert is free, but tickets are required and available online. The event will also be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.
The award-winning ensemble’s performance will celebrate the conclusion of their 2026 tour. The tour program features multiple sets, including music from the heavens and the universe that will incorporate imagery and visual effects to paint humans’ imagining of the unknown within the vastness of space and time. Another set will utilize movement and lighting to depict a story of transformation and maturation over a lifespan. The remainder of the concert will highlight music from Johann Bach and Eric Whitacre, closing with favorite works from the American songbook.
