Washington and Lee University’s Department of Music presents The University Singers in concert with W&L’s Glee Club and Cantatrici, for the kick-off to their 2025 international tour. The performance will take place on April 8 at 8 p.m. Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts.

The concert is free, but tickets are required and available online. The event will also be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.

The award-winning ensemble’s performance celebrates the beginning of their international tour of Croatia and Slovenia. The tour program includes multiple sets, presenting music from both countries performed in the original dialects. The concert will utilize movement and lighting to tell a story of transformation and maturation. Another set will feature music by Heinrich Schütz and Charles Villiers Stanford, as well as the debut of Richard Burchard’s new composition written specifically for The University Singers. The performance will conclude with Americana works to share with international audiences.
