Tickets are required and are available online at my.wlu.edu/lenfest-center/viva-momix with a credit card or in person at the Lenfest box office.
Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, “Viva Momix” mixes traditional “Momix” styles of fun and beauty in a two-act program that will keep the audience on the edge of their seat. Each production focuses not only on the beauty of the human form but also on the beauty of nature, music, scenography and life itself. Productions are carefully crafted to assimilate a multitude of various elements in every show.
Artistic Director Moses Pendleton combines his muscularly sculpted dancers, riveting music and outrageous costumes and sets them amongst artfully created lighting and special effects. He completes his vision with a personally selected and diverse musical score, ranging from Vivaldi to New Age. “Viva Momix” takes you into a surreal and fantasy world, allowing you to dip your toes into the “stream of unconsciousness.” Pendleton’s goal is for audiences to sit back, enjoy the magic and take in the optical confusion.
“Viva Momix” is perfect for all ages and all occasions. Watching the show alone will allow for deep internal reflection, and sharing the experience with a friend will bring discussion and debate surrounding the mysteries and secrets of the show.
