W&L Students Host Lunar New Year Celebration The Feb. 8 event will include performances and a dinner.
The Pan-Asian Association for Cultural Exchange (PAACE) at Washington and Lee University will host a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 5-8:30 p.m. in the Science Center Great Hall.
The event is free and open to the campus community. RSVP is encouraged.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to transform the event space with beautiful decorations, curate a selection of delicious and authentic Asian cuisines, and ensure that everyone in the W&L community has an unforgettable experience,” said Joe Lee ’26, co-president of PAACE.
The Lunar New Year celebration will feature a buffet-style dinner, student performances – including a performance by Jessie Zhang ’26 on the ruan, a traditional Chinese instrument – and a cultural fashion show.
Students can sign up to perform in the showcase portion of the celebration here and to participate in the cultural fashion show here.
“I am looking forward to coming together as a W&L community and creating a memorable experience for everyone,” said Elena Lee ’25, co-president of PAACE.
