W&L Women’s Lacrosse Organizes Run for RARA Virtual 5K The virtual 5K will benefit the Rockbridge Area Relief Association.
The W&L women’s lacrosse team has organized a virtual 5K to benefit the Rockbridge Area Relief Association.LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team is organizing the Run for RARA Virtual 5K that will take place this Saturday, May 16.
In order to take part in the run, an individual can sign up at the link below, and then on race day, post a picture on social media from your 5K run/walk with the hashtag #runforRARA for all of the community to see. The team asks that anyone who participates to please practice social distancing by either running inside or taking the proper precautions if running outdoors.
All proceeds for the event will be donated to the Rockbridge Area Relief Association (RARA). RARA is the largest not-for-profit organization alleviating hunger and addressing poverty in the Rockbridge area.
There is a $15 race fee and a $2.50 sign-up fee to participate. Individuals can also choose to donate above the race fee amount at the sign-up link below. The Generals are hoping to raise upwards of $10,000 to benefit RARA during this unprecedented time. Registration will close on Saturday, May 16th at 11:59 p.m.
