W&L’s Contact Committee Presents Award-Winning Star of Stage and Screen Brendan Hunt for Parents and Family Weekend The Oct. 5 event is free and open to the W&L community.
Washington and Lee University’s Contact Committee is excited to host the award-winning star of stage and screen, Brendan Hunt, to campus for Parents and Family Weekend on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the University Chapel.
The event is free and open to the W&L community, and tickets are required. All tickets have currently been reserved for the event. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email contact@mail.wlu.edu with your name and the number of tickets requested.
Actor, writer, producer, and two-time Emmy winner Brendan Hunt has appeared in a wide variety of critically acclaimed television programs and films throughout his career. He is best known for his role as “Coach Beard” on the hit comedy Ted Lasso which he co-created with Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence. Prior to Ted Lasso, he is most known for his roles in Community, Key and Peele, Parks and Recreation, and Horrible Bosses 2.
From 1998 to 2008, Hunt was a regular writer and performer with the Boom Chicago comedy and improvisational troupe. Hunt was also the head writer on Comedy Central’s (Netherlands) satirical news program, Comedy Central News (CCN) which was produced by Boom Chicago. While with the group, Hunt performed alongside Jason Sudeikis, Jordan Peele, and Seth Meyers.
Brendan resides in Los Angeles, CA with his family where in classic Coach Beard fashion, is a season ticket holder to the Los Angeles Football Club. Abroad, he is a diehard Arsenal F.C. fan.
