Martin Davies, associate professor of economics at Washington and Lee University, recently consulted on exchange rate policy for the Papua New Guinea Treasury and published his work in a discussion paper titled “The Path of Kina Convertibility: Study of the Foreign Exchange Market of Papua New Guinea.”
The Institute of National Affairs published his paper, and Davies presented the work in a virtual lecture in February 2021.
Davies received both his master’s and doctorate degrees in philosophy in economics from Oxford University. He has worked as a visiting professor of economics at the University of Papua New Guinea and as a visiting research fellow with The Institute of National Affairs in Papua New Guinea.
