W&L’s Silwal Presents at Virginia Tech The “Virginia Tech Coffee with the Chair” series features experts sharing their experiences and successes in economics.
Shikha Silwal, associate professor of economics at Washington and Lee University, recently gave a talk as part of the “Virginia Tech Coffee with the Chair” series.
The series consists of virtual interactive events for anyone interested in chatting about economics. A new topic is discussed each week, and special guests present their experiences and successes in economics. Silwal’s talk was titled “Twice Victimized: An Exploration of Some Under-Studied Topics in Development and Conflict Economics.”
Silwal received her doctorate in economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests are in development and conflict and peace studies, with a particular focus on South Asian countries.
