Collective Euphonia

The Lenfest Center at Washington and Lee University presents “It’s Complicated: Songs and Scenes on Relationships,” performed by the Collective Euphonia ensemble, on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. in the Wilson Concert Hall.

Collective Euphonia is an interdisciplinary and versatile ensemble of accomplished creative professionals that combines music, art, theater and dance in its performances. The self-governing ensemble debuted in 2019 with a residency at the Taubman Museum of Art and Temple Emanuel in Roanoke, VA. Collective Euphonia artists are leading professionals in their fields and collaborate in a democratic creative process to produce enriching programs that cross cultural, social and faith boundaries, and encourage audience engagement.

The ensemble’s upcoming performance at the Lenfest Center will feature W&L music faculty as collaborative artists: Anna Billias (piano), Julia Goudimova (cello) and William McCorkle (piano/harpsichord).

“It’s Complicated” opens the Concert Guild series for the university’s winter season and features a program of songs, opera and musical theater scenes exploring the dynamics of relationships and “the many faces of love.”
