In the fourth episode of Season Two, “No Stone Unturned: Rocking Out with Elizabeth Knapp,” Knapp talks about why she fell in love with geology, the landscape of Rockbridge County, and how the Johnson Program continues to transform the lives of students.

Knapp also addresses the special bond that exists among students, faculty and alumni of the W&L Geology Department.

“We all have a shared passion for learning about the world around us,” she said. “… Working in labs together with our fellow students and faculty really creates great bonding experiences… we want to share that across generations and pay those opportunities forward… I think of [the Geology Department] as a special place within a special place.”
