Q. Tell us a little about you and your background.
I graduated from Parry McCluer High School in 2019. I also went to Dabney Lancaster Community College (now named Mountain Gateway Community College) and studied forestry.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun?
I like to hunt, fish, and watch and play sports.

Q. Anything you are looking forward to in particular at W&L?
I’m looking forward to starting a new career.


Tara Hackenberg, Director of Parent Giving – University Development

Q. Tell us a little about you and your background.
I am a graduate of Elon University. I live in Nelson County with my boyfriend David and our dog Oliver.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun?
I love kayaking, reading and candle making. I enjoy skiing at Wintergreen Resort, where David is in mountain operations and on ski patrol.

Q. Best advice anyone has ever given you?
Always get your oil changed on time and floss your teeth. Thanks, Dad!

Q. Tell us a little about you and your background.
I am a JMU Duke, a proud husband and father, and a tennis enthusiast.

Q. Anything you are looking forward to in particular at W&L?
I’m looking forward to learning about the community and getting to know everyone, and doing what I can to make it an even better place to learn and to work.

Q. How do you unwind or have fun?
I take care of my old house, spend time with my dog (Penny) and try to keep up with my 1-year-old son, Oliver.
