Q. Tell us a little about you and your background.
I am originally from a small town in central Pennsylvania. My favorite activity as a child was singing show tunes until every member of my family, including the dogs, told me they’d heard enough. I graduated with a degree in globalization studies from Gettysburg College and went on to pursue a master’s degree in religion in contemporary society from King’s College London. I’ve spent the past eight years in Washington, D.C., cheering for the Washington Capitals, seeing as many theater productions as possible and trying to be a good tour guide for visiting friends and family. My husband and I just got married this past October and we’re excited to start our new lives together in beautiful Rockbridge County!

Q. Any favorite Lexington/regional spots/activities?
During the pandemic, my husband and I made several trips to Shenandoah National Park, so we’re looking forward to the mountains becoming a neighbor! Most importantly, we’re excited to be moving closer to family.

Q. How do you unwind/have fun? Any hobbies or hidden talents?
I am a proud musical theater nerd and love to sing. I wouldn’t call it a talent, but I do love karaoke! My husband also got me into record collecting, mostly musical theater albums. I also enjoy reading and spending time in nature. And of course, my favorite hobby is spending time with our crazy Sheltie pup, Finlay.
