Ethan Yeung ’29L

Ethan Yeung is from San Francisco, California and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

What you are looking forward to in 1L year?

I’m looking forward to learning new things and meeting new people.

Hobby/Interest?

I enjoy board games and reading. I’m also interested in permaculture, and I’m excited that I’ll be able to spend some time WWOOFing later this summer! Other interests of mine include history and personal finance.

Why W&L Law?

Three things:

  1. It’s a great school — in terms of things like academic rigor, employment outcomes, etc.
  2. It’s got great people — the community is known for being close-knit and supportive.
  3. It’s in a great location — the natural beauty of the Shenandoah Valley is truly unparalleled.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

I spent a week sailing around the Florida Keys as part of the Boy Scouts’ Sea Base program.

Something you hope to continue to pursue in law school that brings you joy?

Outdoor activities like swimming, biking, and hiking — I’m excited to explore everything the Lexington area has to offer!

Something unique about you?

In undergrad, I majored in computer science, and after graduating, I worked as an analyst at a transit agency for two years.
