Why did you choose to come to W&L?
I came to W&L because of its tight-knit community. When I first visited W&L, I was surprised that students would go out of their way to help me. As a W&L student now, I feel lucky that students and faculty continue to help me along my journey.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at W&L?
I most look forward to my ongoing participation in the Williams Investment Society (WIS) during my time at W&L. Working in WIS allows me to never stop learning. Through WIS, I collaborate closely with a team of four students, and we develop investment pitches and company analyses. Over the past several years, I’ve made friends of other students interested in finance, and I’ve had to face many different challenges as my role in WIS evolves. While this is the most exhausting part of my W&L experience, it’s also the most rewarding.

What has been your greatest accomplishment since arriving at W&L?
My greatest accomplishment since arriving at W&L is serving as a career fellow in the Career and Professional Development office. In this position, I advise students on refining their resumes, walk them through potential career paths, and help them practice interview skills. I love this role because it’s so fulfilling to work with students for months and months until they finally land a job or internship.

Who at W&L has been most inspiring to you so far?
I’m inspired by W&L alumni. I have received so much help from W&L alums, and I would not be where I am today without their help. I’m looking forward to graduating and helping other W&L students just like older W&L alums have helped me.
