What is your definition of entrepreneurship?
This has evolved through my personal entrepreneurship journey, but at the moment the definition is simply a willingness to fail and be wrong when others are not even willing to try.
What would you say are the top 3 skills that are needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Confidence in your abilities, comfort with failure, the capacity to pivot.
If you were talking to a fellow classmate who has never attended the Summit, what would you say to convince them to attend?
The richest part of WLU education is the network. Participating in the summit connects you across generations and geographies under the umbrella of entrepreneurship and enterprise.
What have you personally experienced at the Entrepreneurship Summit that has benefitted you professionally?
Significant impact on my business acquisition process was meeting fellow alum who had extensive experience in Food and Beverage M&A. Greg coached me through my own acquisition process. I would not have made the connection had I not attended WLU Summit.
Bebe Goodrich ’07 is one of two keynote speakers for the 2019 Entrepreneurship Summit, which will take place on campus Sept. 27-28.
