Washington and Lee University will present a post-election virtual panel titled “What Happened Last Night?” on Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.

Robert Strong, William Lyne Wilson Professor of Political Economy; Molly Michelmore, professor of history; and Katana Evans ’22, an intern for The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, will share their preliminary analysis of the presidential election results. W&L’s Marcos Perez, assistant professor of sociology, and Zoila Ponce de Leon, assistant professor of politics, will moderate the discussion.

The event is open to the campus community and is free to access here.

“This event will be a great opportunity to have a lively conversation following the election,” said Ponce de Leon. “We’ll have three wonderful speakers from different disciplines share their general views of the election’s results during the first part of the event. Then we’ll open the floor to questions.”

The conversation is sponsored by W&L’s Sociology and Anthropology Department and Politics Department.
