Washington and Lee University will host the Real Estate Forum, Oct. 8-9, 2025, in Washington, D.C. The event will offer participants a blend of learning, discussion, and networking opportunities, connecting established industry experts with emerging real estate professionals.

“This year’s Real Estate Forum is shaping up to be our best yet as we welcome a record-breaking crowd to Washington, D.C.,” said John Jensen ’01, executive director of Alumni and Career Services. “I want to thank Lauren Vance and our steering committee, led by Ashley Oakes ’17 and David Seifert ’06. If you are unable to attend, don’t worry, we will be back in the fall of 2027. And be on the lookout for future exciting opportunities highlighting a variety of industries.”

Michael Diverio ’05, a senior managing director in Blackstone’s infrastructure group, will open Thursday’s program with a keynote address titled “AI – Real Estate Infrastructure.” Diverio joined Blackstone in 2020, where he has been involved in the execution of investments in QTS Realty Trust, AirTrunk, Phoenix Tower International, Signature Aviation and the Digital Realty JV. Before Blackstone, he worked in corporate private equity and investment banking.

The afternoon will feature a fireside chat on “Macro Outlook” with Jonathan V. Gould ’01L and Alan McKnight ’94. In his role as the 32nd Comptroller of the Currency, Gould is the administrator of the federal banking system and chief officer of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which supervises more than 1,000 national banks, federal savings associations and U.S. operations of foreign banks. McKnight serves as the executive vice president and chief investment officer at Regions Bank, and previously held leadership positions at SunTrust Bank and Balentine, LLC.

Other programming highlights include panels exploring the future of hospitality, the strengths of industry verticals and real estate and the credit markets.
