W&L Presents Senior Recital with Bill Zheng Zheng’s percussion recital will take place on March 15 at 3 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall.

Bill Zheng ’26 will perform his senior percussion recital on March 15 at 3 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts. Zheng is a music and economics double major from Ningbo, China.
The performance is free and open to the public and will be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream.
Zheng’s performance will feature jazz works by Johnny Desmond, Neal Hefti and Bill Strayhorn alongside Zheng’s original compositions and arrangements. The recital marks a significant moment in Zheng’s musical journey and is a testament to the support he has received at W&L. Zheng has studied percussion under W&L lecturers in music Shelby Shelton and Josh Sheppard. Akiko Konishi, assistant professor of music, serves as his major adviser and Chris Dobbins, associate professor of music, is his thesis adviser.
