Three Washington and Lee University students, Lourdes Arana ’21, Danika Brockman ’21 and RuoPeng Zhang ’21, were selected to participate in the 2019 Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges (VFIC) Women’s Leadership Development Summit in early November in Richmond, Virginia.
According to the VFIC website, “The summit is designed to empower young women who are attending a VFIC member college or university.”
At the conference, students joined fellow VFIC students from across the Commonwealth for a three-day summit to hear from corporate and civic leaders about the skills needed to assume positions of authority in professional and personal settings.
The students also toured the state capitol and attended a networking reception during the conference.
