W&L’s Concert Guild Series Presents AcroStrum The Nov. 6 performance will take place in the Lenfest Center’s Wilson Concert Hall.

The Department of Music at Washington and Lee University presents AcroStrum in concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, in Wilson Concert Hall in the Lenfest Center for the Arts.
The performance is sponsored by W&L’s Concert Guild, which brings professional performing artists to campus each year for concerts and master classes. Tickets are required and are available online or in person at the Lenfest Center box office.
The performance will feature a dynamic and inspiring program including classics like Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” Chinese traditional music and progressive rock.
ArcoStrum is a trailblazing violin-guitar duo leaving their mark through creative concert design, on-stage charisma and innovative programming. The duo features violinist Strauss Shi, a three-time international competition prize winner, and guitarist TY Zhang, the first and only Chinese classical guitarist to win the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition (GFA-ICAC). AcroStrum has brought their artistry to sold-out audiences across Asia, Latin America and North America and while on tour, they frequently connect with students of all ages through interactive workshops, school concerts and outreach programs.
