Lucas MorelLucas Morel, the John K. Boardman, Jr. Professor of Politics at Washington and Lee University, was recently interviewed by Jeffrey Rosen of the National Constitution Center for a “We the People” podcast about Juneteenth.
On the podcast, Morel follows the account of the fight for freedom and equality in America from the Declaration of Independence through the ratification of the 13th Amendment and beyond. He also discusses many of the people and movements that shaped Black American politics and history.
