Nursing Clio recently published an article written by Sarah Horowitz, Washington and Lee University associate professor of history, titled “Sherlock Holmes Comes to Paris: True Crime and Private Detection in the Belle Époque.”
In the piece, Horowitz reflects on crime, scandal and injustice in 19th-century France through the lens of one particular case, the Steinheil Affair of 1908-09.
