Zoila Ponce de León, assistant professor of politics at Washington and Lee University, recently co-authored an article in The Conversation titled “Women politicians more likely to reply to people who reach out in need, study shows.”
In the piece, Ponce de León notes, “There is tentative but contested evidence that, worldwide, women have been more effective leaders during the pandemic. Our political science research on representation supports this conclusion.”
