Celebrate and Commemorate at W&L Alumni Weekend 2026 Alumni from the classes ending in 1 and 6 are invited to return to campus April 30-May 3 for a weekend of celebration and support of Washington and Lee.

Washington and Lee University invites alumni from the classes of 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011 to return to campus April 30-May 3 for Alumni Weekend. This year’s annual spring reunion weekend is an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with classmates and relive cherished memories from their days on campus.
Registration is open and can be accessed online.
“Alumni Weekend showcases everything I love about the W&L community,” said John Jensen ’01, executive director of Alumni and Career Services. “The chance to see reunion classes reconnect with each other and their favorite professors, swap stories with old roommates, and discover how much campus has evolved since graduation is what makes this event so meaningful. Our alumni network’s passion for W&L is contagious, and we’ve created a weekend that honors cherished traditions while celebrating all that’s happening on campus today. We’re seeing that enthusiasm reflected in the outstanding weekend registration figures to date for all of our returning classes. And on a personal note, I’m particularly excited to join my classmates in celebrating our 25th reunion.”
The weekend’s programming will include a Mock Convention 2028 update, Honored Benefactors Wall Ceremony, an Opening Assembly in University Chapel featuring keynote speaker Mike McAlevey ’86, P’17, P’20, an Alumni Picnic for all reunion classes, academic open houses, networking receptions including a reception welcoming back all military veterans, an Admissions seminar Friday afternoon, class dinners, Saturday’s Generals Assembly featuring the Alumni Association’s annual reunion class awards and Distinguished Alumni Awards, and a lively Kentucky Derby viewing party. Alumni Weekend celebrations will close on Saturday night for the Grand Finale event on Cannan Green.
A full schedule of events, as well as frequently asked questions and additional details, are available online.
This year’s Alumni Weekend will also celebrate the longstanding tradition of reunion giving with class gifts to the W&L Fund from all milestone classes, with various trophies acknowledging exemplary giving and participation handed out on Saturday at the Generals Assembly. There is still time to make an impact on your class totals and trophy race by making a reunion pledge online. Winners and results will be announced at the Generals Assembly on Saturday morning.
