Nadia Ayoub, an associate professor of biology at Washington and Lee University, was interviewed in a Wired article titled “The Race to Put Silk in Nearly Everything.”
Ayoub discusses her research of spiders, particularly black widows, on W&L’s campus. Her research unravels spider silk to study its protein chemistry, which helps researchers design materials that mimic nature.
