W&L’s Just Food Series Presents Public Lecture The Just Food series continues on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. with an artist’s talk by Jackie Black.

The Campus Kitchen at Washington and Lee University’s Just Food series continues on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. with an artist’s talk by Jackie Black. Black will talk about the intention and process behind her exhibit, the “Last Meal,” that portrays the last meal requests of inmates sentenced to death. The exhibit will be on display in Lykes Atrium in Wilson Hall from Nov.7 – Dec. 8.

This lecture will take place over Zoom and is open to the public. Attendees can register for free online at go.wlu.edu/lastmeal.

The Just Food series is a public event series hosted by the Campus Kitchen at W&L that explores the intersection of the food system and social justice issues. This year’s series will include several events examining multiple perspectives on the connections between food and carceral systems.
